Oh Honestly Erin
On a recommendation from a fellow magician and poet, I decided to do something I almost never do – check out somebody’s personal blog.
It’s not that I don’t like reading – the main problem is time, plus the fact that very few people’s blogs are well-written and entertaining.
However, I’m glad to say that this one was a great find!
It’s simply called Oh Honestly Erin, and it’s written by a lady called Erin Rachelle Kelly.
I’m only up to page four, but thus far, I’ve found it to be the sort of eclectic writing that I enjoy, and which sort of applies to my own blog too.
Much of it is about her personal life, including her family, but you have to read it carefully to extract the full degree of wit from it.
There are plenty of photos too, which are often “unusual” but striking.
My favourite post (of the ones I’ve managed to find time to read) at the moment is called That Fucking Tomato.
Just one word of warning, however – as the title of that post implies, Erin is not averse to using some direct language.

The irony is that while you write a lot of your blog when you should be working, I”m reading it when I should be working (although at least I work from home so there”s no big boss standing over my shoulder)!
