The Story Of Stuff
I was brought up in a generation where little attention was paid to what are now known as “green issues”.
And yet, as I grow older, I find myself more and more concerned with the health of our planet.
But, having moved to a country that seems to be in a state of denial about issues such as global warming, I find it difficult to do as much as I’d like.
True, we don’t use our car very much about twice in the past 11 months), we try not to buy products that are stuffed full of man-made chemicals (and in fact selling natural health solutions is our main business), and we do use (some) energy-saving light bulbs, where we can.
We would also sign up for the latest in solar energy solutions, except it’s not available through our one and only electricity supplier.

However, this is but a drop in the ocean, and while I would agree it’s better to do something rather than nothing, it will take a major mindset change and significant and concerted effort to make a real difference.
I recently came across a website called The Story Of Stuff, and I highly recommend you visit it and watch the 20-minute video – it’s very enlightening and relevant to almost everybody, even though it does have a focus on the issues in the USA. Here’s the URL: http://www.storyofstuff.com/.
