Poetry It’s been more than ten years since my mum passed away
Maybe she watches over me every day
I have to confess that I don’t share her belief
Somehow I have also never felt any grief
Since I don’t know how, my brain is wired like that
Maybe NLD – emotionally I’m flat
Yet I undoubtedly miss her from time to time
Maybe imperfect but she was my paradigm
Unselfishly desiring what was best for me

Poetry Dark clouds are rolling in from afar
All enveloping, as black as night
Reverberations from thunder jar
Keep going and it will be all right
Migraine approaching, eyes and head hurt
Only hope I can fend off the pain
Or at least the worst of it avert
Damn, all these headaches are such a drain

Poetry Every time my PC gets a BSOD
X-rated words escape my mouth, like “bugger me”
Percussive maintenance is what I’d like to do
Like I can afford, though, to purchase something new
Of course it’s not just the money but time as well
Rebuilding from scratch seems like punishment from hell
Especially as all PCs seem to degrade
Relentlessly as soon as they’re used, I’m afraid

Lithe footwork – it’s no time to be a klutz

Poetry There are many foods that I love to eat
However, sometimes, it is hard to beat
Enormous cookies, American-style
Chocolate chip, for me, will raise a smile
Or maybe a macadamia nut
Of course this food will go straight to your gut
Knowing it’s not healthy adds to the fun
It’s hard to stop eating once you’ve begun
Easy to tell when you’ve had too many
So go slowly and that will be plenty

Poetry With all their talent, they’ve not done too well
It was Venus who went first – what’s to tell
Lots of mistakes, she was simply outplayed
Let’s move to Serena who, I’m afraid
Instigated, through a loss of control
A penalty that took a heavy toll
Match point against her and she therefore lost
She should have kept cool, avoiding that cost
